fevereiro e 5 mar\u00e7o. Tem uma programa\u00e7\u00e3o bem intensa, com diversas atra\u00e7\u00f5es gratuitas. Entre os principais eventos est\u00e3o o 2\u00ba Corteo Acqueo ou Desfile na \u00c1gua (17\/02), um belo desfile de g\u00f4ndolas, com fogos e m\u00fasica; o Cortejo das Marias (23\/02); a Final do Concurso de M\u00e1scaras (03\/03) e a Premia\u00e7\u00e3o da Maria (05\/03), com a coroa\u00e7\u00e3o da rainha do Carnaval, todos na Pra\u00e7a de S\u00e3o Marcos.<\/p><p><strong>Um pouquinho de hist\u00f3ria<\/strong><br \/>A origem do Carnaval de Veneza remonta ao final do s\u00e9culo 11, mas foi apenas oficializado no s\u00e9culo 13.
